We had a great day out with Howard Vaughan (Blue Eyed Birder) getting to know the Abberton area of Essex yesterday with some great company. An impressive list of birds seen in one day thanks to the knowledge of Howard. Notable birds seen were White Stork, Smew, Black-necked Grebe, Great Northern Diver, Goosander, Greater Scaup, Caspian Gull, Bewick Swans, Barn Owl to name but a few. Oh, and just a few Brent Geese.
